A cloudy forecast for political futures markets

WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina, Aug. 16 (TNSres) -- Wake Forest University issued the following news:

On August 4, with little explanation, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) told PredictIt, one of the most widely followed political forecasting markets, that it would have to shut down after U.S. regulators withdrew permission for the betting service to operate.
