LANSING, Michigan, June 12 -- The Michigan Democratic Party issued the following news release on June 11, 2021:

The Michigan Democratic Party released the following statement on behalf of Chair Lavora Barnes, following today's State Supreme Court decision.

"Led by Mike Shirkey, Unlock Michigan's unethical and illegal practices make a mockery of the initiative process and are an affront to our democratic ideals," said Lavora Barnes, MDP Chair.
