Cherokee Nation, UKB Sign MOA on Foster, Adoption Cases Involving Cherokee Children

TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma, June 10 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

Cherokee Nation Attorney General Sara Hill announced today that the United Keetoowah Band of Cherokee Indians dismissed its appeal in a case it filed, UKB v Barteaux, putting the legal challenge to rest.
