Upon the signing into law today of HB 479, an overhaul of Georgia's citizen's arrest law, Scott Hogan, Executive Director of the Democratic Party of Georgia, released the following statement:
"Today is a momentous day in Georgia as we officially become the first state to end the archaic, racist practice of citizen's arrest.
