TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma, Jan. 17 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

The Cherokee National History Museum announced the extension of its first temporary exhibit due to its overwhelming popularity. Originally planned to end on Jan. 31, the exhibit will remain open to the public through March 14.
