ACLU of Wisconsin Condemns Legislators for Doubling Down on Failed Policies That Weaken Public Safety

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, Jan. 14 -- The American Civil Liberties Union of Wisconsin issued the following news release on Jan. 13:

The ACLU of Wisconsin condemned a so-called "tougher on crime" package of legislation introduced by Wisconsin legislators, asserting the measures would further weaken public safety and waste taxpayer dollars.

"What 'tough on crime' really means is 'tough on taxpayers' and 'tough on communities,'" said Chris Ott, ACLU of Wisco . . .
