The National Congress of American Indians (NCAI) congratulates Judge Raquel Montoya-Lewis (Pueblo of Isleta) on her appointment as a justice of the Washington Supreme Court by Governor Jay Inslee on December 4, 2019. Montoya-Lewis is the first Native American to serve in this capacity in the state.
