DALLAS, Texas, July 22 -- The Republican Party of Texas issued the following statement by Chairman James Dickey:

Today, State Senator Royce West announced his bid to run against Senator John Cornyn for US Senate. He will face MJ Hegar, Houston City Councilwoman Amanda Edwards, former Congressman Chris Bell, and three others who have already declared in the Primary Election in March 2020.
