WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 -- The National Republican Senatorial Committee issued the following news release:

Phil Bredesen released an ad this week attempting to tout his 2nd Amendment credentials and claim the NRA had given him an A rating.

One problem...the NRA endorsed Congressman Marsha Blackburn and went out of their way to correct the record with Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA's Political Victory Fund, releasing a statement saying, "Phil Bredesen is a 'D' rated . . .
