Cooper Named Chairman of the National American Indian Housing Council

TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma, June 15 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

Gary Cooper, Cherokee Nation citizen and executive director of the Housing Authority of the Cherokee Nation, was recently elected as the chairman of the National American Indian Housing Council.

Cooper will serve a two-year term as chairman for the organization that advocates for housing opportunities and increased funding for Native Amer . . .
