Navajo Nation Council Increases Funding for Navajo Nation Scholarships

WINDOW ROCK, Arizona, April 19 -- The Navajo Nation Council, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

On the second day of the 2018 Spring Council Session, Navajo Nation lawmakers approved Legislation No. 0445-17, which sought to allocate approximately $1.6 million from the Unreserved, Undesignated Fund Balance to the Office of Navajo Nation Scholarship and Financial Assistance, under the Department of Dine Education.
