TAHLEQUAH, Oklahoma, April 18 -- The Cherokee Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:
The Cherokee Nation honored three U.S. Army veterans with the tribe's Medal of Patriotism during the April Tribal Council meeting.
