Silk Painting Workshop Taught by Award-Winning Artist

SULPHUR, Oklahoma, Dec. 14 -- The Chickasaw Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

The Chickasaw Nation is offering a silk painting workshop taught by Choctaw artist Patta Butcher. The workshop is scheduled for Dec. 16 at the ARTesian Gallery & Studios, 100 West Muskogee St.

The workshop is open to any skill level. Two separate classes will be available, 10:30 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m.
