Candlelight Vigil Planned to Honor Those Impacted By Domestic Violence

ADA, Okla., Oct. 11 -- The Chickasaw Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. To honor survivors and those who have lost their lives to domestic violence, a candlelight vigil is scheduled 6:30 p.m., Friday, October 13 at the Pontotoc County Courthouse plaza.

The vigil is part of a month-long community effort to educate and raise public awareness about domestic violence.
