CCC Monarch Effort Cited By State Association

LAWTON, Okla., Oct. 5 -- The Chickasaw Nation, a federally-recognized Native American tribe, issued the following news release:

The Chickasaw Nation has been recognized by the Oklahoma Museums Association (OMA) for conservation initiatives to preserve and protect monarch butterflies.

The award was presented to the Chickasaw Cultural Center (CCC) during OMA's annual conference in mid-September.
