WASHINGTON, April 4 -- The Federal Election Commission issued the following news release: Presidential candidates raised over $1.1 billion and spent $967.3 million in the first 12 months of the 2019-2020 election cycle, according to campaign finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission that cover activity from January 1, 2019 through December 31, 2019.
