Peace Corps China Volunteers Evacuated Safely (10)
WASHINGTON, Feb. 6 -- The Peace Corps issued the following news release on Feb. 5:
Due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and related school closures and travel constraints, all Peace Corps China volunteers were safely evacuated out of the country, the Peace Corps announced.
The 139 volunteers will close their service.
The evacuation of current volunteers follows a recent decision by the Peace Corps to graduate its China program.

Sen. Warren Introduces Bill to End Epidemic of Gun Violence (10)
WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 -- Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (S. 3254) to "end the epidemic of gun violence and build safer communities by strengthening Federal firearms laws and supporting gun violence research, intervention, and prevention initiatives."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 5 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Edward J. Markey, D-Mass., Robert Menendez, D-N.J., and Cory Booker, D-N.J. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.

Sen. Warren Introduces Bill to Permit Employees to Require Changes to Work Schedules Without Fear (10)
WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 -- Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., has introduced legislation (S. 3256) to "permit employees to require changes to their work schedules without fear of retaliation and to ensure that employers consider these requests, and to require employers to provide more predictable and stable schedules for employees in certain occupations with evidence of unpredictable and unstable scheduling practices that negatively affect employees."
