WASHINGTON, June 16 -- The Barring Adversarial Networks and Notorious Extremist Destabilizers in Latin America Act, originally introduced by Sen. John R. Curtis, R-Utah, on June 2, 2026, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. The bill aims to require the Secretary of State to submit a strategy to Congress for countering the influence operations of Iran and Hezbollah in Latin America.
