40-day dry cargo time charter Sought for Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia (10)
WASHINGTON, May 21 -- The Military Sealift Command is seeking proposals for a 40-day dry cargo time charter to support critical re-supply and retrograde cargo operations at Pituffik Space Base in Greenland. This requirement involves the procurement of one U.S. or foreign-flagged, ice-class, self-sustaining, lift-on/lift-off, breakbulk vessel. The successful contractor will play a vital role in ensuring the logistical support necessary for operations in this remote location.
