WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services National Institutes of Health announced that it expects to award a grant for support for the training of a diverse data science workforce for addiction research. The agency description of the grant states: "The purpose of this Academic Research Enhancement Award (AREA) for Undergraduate-Focused Institutions is to support small scale data science for addiction research grants at institutions that do not receive substantial funding from the NIH, with an emphasis on providin more ST
