ST. AUGUSTINE, Florida, Nov. 1 (TNSconf) -- Flagler College issued the following news:
Flagler College and the National Park Service, with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma, announce a Native American Heritage Month program. On November 16 and 17, 2022, special events will take place to remember and honor the Cheyenne and Arapaho warriors imprisoned at Fort Marion (Castillo de San Marcos) from 1875-1878. The events feature memorial ceremonies, remembrances, and educational sessions.

Flagler College will host Dr. Raymond Scheindlin as a part of the Usdin Lecture series to present on "the worldly pleasures of Courtier-Rabbis of Islamic Spain." Scheindlin will speak on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Virginia Room, on the second floor of the Student Center. This lecture is free and open to the public.
