WASHINGTON, Oct. 2 -- The U.S. Department of Justice, through its Bureau of Justice Assistance, has launched a funding opportunity aimed at bolstering the investigation and prosecution of civil rights offenses resulting in death that occurred prior to December 31, 1979.
