WASHINGTON, Sept. 29 -- Nevada has emerged as the leading U.S. state for nonfuel mineral production, generating $12.6 billion worth of minerals in 2025, according to a new analysis of United States Geological Survey data. The figure represents 11.26% of America's total nonfuel mineral production, with copper, gold, silver, diatomite and construction sand and gravel among the state's principal commodities. Across the country, nonfuel mineral production was worth nearly $112 billion.
