WASHINGTON, Sept. 26 -- The Small Business Audit Correction Act, originally introduced by Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas, on September 22, 2026, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. The bill aims to amend the Sarbanes-Oxley Act by exempting privately held, non-carrying brokers and dealers that are in good standing from certain auditing requirements.
