WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Justice, through its Bureau of Justice Assistance, has announced a funding opportunity for the BJA FY 2026 Rural Violent Crime Reduction Initiative. This program aims to support local law enforcement in rural jurisdictions as they work to prevent, respond to, and ultimately reduce violent crime.
Eligible applicants include other units of local government, such as towns, boroughs, parishes, and villages-essentially, any general purpose . . .
