WASHINGTON, Sept. 22 -- The U.S. Department of Justice, through its Bureau of Justice Assistance, has announced a funding opportunity for the BJA FY 2026 Upholding the Rule of Law and Preventing Wrongful Convictions Program. This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of wrongful conviction review entities and their partners in the criminal justice and victims' services sectors to more effectively identify, assess, and manage post-conviction claims of innocence.
