WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the National Institutes of Health, seeks applications for the NIH Director's Early Independence Award. This initiative is designed to support exceptionally talented early-career researchers who are ready to establish their independent research labs. The funding aims to help these promising scientists bypass traditional postdoctoral training and transition directly into independent positions.
