WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 -- The U.S. Department of Justice, through its Office on Violence Against Women, has launched an opportunity for organizations to enhance their capacity to respond to violence against women in tribal communities. The OVW Fiscal Year 2026 Violence Against Women Tribal Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Initiative is designed to support the engagement of tribal prosecutors and improve legal responses to incidences of violence against women.
