WASHINGTON, Sept. 3 -- The U.S. Department of Energy, through its Idaho Field Office, has announced a funding opportunity aimed at enhancing collaboration between state government representatives and the Department's Office of Nuclear Energy, Office of Storage & Transportation. This initiative supports planning for the future transportation of commercial used nuclear fuel and high-level radioactive waste, addressing related program issues that may affect states or regions.
