WASHINGTON, Sept. 1 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Centers for Disease Control, is seeking proposals for a cooperative agreement aimed at bolstering national immunization programs in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (EMR). With total funding estimated at $75 million, this initiative is set to address vaccine preventable disease (VPD) control, elimination, and eradication goals, including polio eradication and measles and rubella elimination.
