WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 -- The following federal contracts were announced by federal agencies as having been awarded to companies operating in Alabama.

SOUTH ALABAMA CONTRACTING, Andalusia, Alabama, won a federal contract award for $4,477,337 from the Department of Justice Federal Prison System/Bureau of Prisons, Grand Prairie, Texas, for plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning contractors.
