WASHINGTON, Aug. 18 -- The U.S. Department of Justice, through its Bureau of Justice Assistance, has announced the availability of funding under the FY 2026 Local Law Enforcement Crime Gun Intelligence Center (CGIC) Integration Initiative. This program, in collaboration with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, aims to support state, local, and Tribal law enforcement agencies in establishing and expanding CGICs to effectively address firearm-related crime.
