WASHINGTON, Aug. 14 -- The U.S. Department of Justice, through its Bureau of Justice Assistance, has announced the availability of funding to support efforts aimed at improving the investigation and prosecution of sexual assaults in confinement facilities. The BJA FY 2026 Investigating and Prosecuting Sexual Assaults in Confinement Facilities Program offers eligible entities the opportunity to receive up to $2 million to enhance their capabilities in these critical areas.
