WASHINGTON, July 22 -- The U.S. Department of Justice, through its Community Oriented Policing Services, has announced a funding opportunity under the FY26 Safer Outcomes Program aimed at enhancing crisis response training for law enforcement agencies across the nation. With an estimated total funding of $13 million available, the program is intended to promote safe outcomes during police encounters through comprehensive training initiatives.
