WASHINGTON, July 15 -- The U.S. Department of Justice, through its Bureau of Justice Assistance, has opened funding for the OJP FY 2026 Special Attorneys Program. This program aims to bolster the capacity of state, local, Tribal, and territorial prosecuting agencies by allowing them to assign or hire qualified prosecutors as Special Attorneys. These prosecutors will work under the direction of the National Fraud Enforcement Division or the Criminal Division, as well as serve as Special Assistant . . .
