WASHINGTON, June 23 -- The Blast Overpressure Research and Mitigation Task Force, originally introduced by Sen. Jim Banks, R-Indiana, on June 11, 2026, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. The purpose of this legislation is to establish a dedicated task force within the Department of Veterans Affairs to address the health challenges faced by veterans and military members arising from blast overpressure exposure.
