WASHINGTON, June 18 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, has opened applications for the Tribal Opioid Response program aimed at combating the overdose crisis in Tribal communities. With an estimated total funding of $4.8 million, the program will provide awards totalling up to $1.8 million each to support 19 selected initiatives. Eligible applicants include federally recognized American Indian or Alaska Nativ . . .
