WASHINGTON, June 12 -- The Americans Giving Care to Elders Act, originally introduced by Sen. Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota, on June 1, 2026, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. The bill aims to amend the Internal Revenue Code to provide an income tax credit for individuals who incur eldercare expenses for qualifying individuals, primarily seniors over the age of 65 who require assistance with daily activities.
