WASHINGTON, May 20 -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security - FEMA has unveiled the Fiscal Year 2025 Assistance to Firefighters Grants (AFG) Program, aimed at bolstering the capabilities of fire departments, nonaffiliated emergency medical services, and State Fire Training Academies. With an estimated total funding of $291.6 million, the program seeks to support approximately 1,800 awards, with each recipient potentially receiving up to $9 million.
