WASHINGTON, May 20 -- The Medical Device Electronic Labeling Act, originally introduced by Sen. Jim Banks, R-IN, on May 13, 2026, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. The legislation aims to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by expanding the types of medical devices for which required labeling may be made available solely through electronic means.
