WASHINGTON, May 20 -- The ABLE MATCH (Making Able a Tool to Combat Hardship) Act, originally introduced by Sen. Chris Van Hollen, D-MD, on May 12, 2026, has been analyzed by the Congressional Research Service. This legislation aims to amend the Internal Revenue Code to introduce matching payments for contributions made to ABLE accounts, benefiting individuals with disabilities by making it easier for them to save for qualified expenses.
