WASHINGTON, May 1 -- The U.S. Department of the Interior, through the Geological Survey, has unveiled a competitive funding opportunity aimed at advancing research in earthquake hazards, the physics of earthquakes, and related safety policies. Under the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program (EHP), up to $6 million will be available for the fiscal year 2027 to support approximately 50 to 70 research grants.
