WASHINGTON, May 1 -- The U.S. Department of Agriculture, through the National Institute of Food and Agriculture, has launched an initiative aimed at bolstering agricultural education in insular areas. The Resident Instruction Grants for Institutions of Higher Education in Insular Areas Agriculture and Food Science Facilities and Equipment Program is designed to enhance the capacity of higher education institutions to improve their agricultural and food science programs.
