WASHINGTON, April 11 -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury Office of the Comptroller of the Currency proposed budget for fiscal year 2027 totals $1.149 billion in obligations, dedicated primarily to supervising and regulating the Nation's banking system. Unlike most federal agencies, the OCC does not receive appropriated funds from Congress; instead, it is fully funded through assessments and fees paid by the financial institutions it supervises, along with investment income.
