WASHINGTON, April 11 -- The U.S. Department of the Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing proposed budget for fiscal year 2027 totals $1.088 billion in obligations, supporting the production of U.S. currency and other secure government documents. Unlike most federal agencies, BEP operates through a revolving fund financed by the sale of its products--primarily currency supplied to the Federal Reserve--rather than direct congressional appropriations.
