WASHINGTON, March 27 -- Sen. James E. Risch, R-ID, has introduced the Veteran Burial Benefit Correction Act, aimed at increasing the burial and funeral expenses covered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for veterans who die as a result of service-connected disabilities. This legislative measure seeks to enhance the financial support provided to families mourning their loved ones who served in the military.
The bill proposes to raise the maximum burial benefit from $2,000 to $3,00 . . .
