Jeanne Shaheen, D-NH, has introduced the Supporting After-School STEM Educators Act, aimed at enhancing the professional development of educators who work in out-of-school time programs, particularly in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. The legislation recognizes the critical need for well-trained STEM educators in after-school and summer programs, which are increasingly vital for engaging students in these essential subjects.
