WASHINGTON, March 9 -- Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-TN, has introduced the Veterans Hearing Aid Improvement Act, aiming to assess and potentially expand the Department of Veterans Affairs' coverage of over-the-counter hearing aids for veterans with mild-to-moderate hearing loss.
The bill instructs the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to initiate a two-year demonstration project, evaluating the financial implications and effectiveness of providing FDA-cleared, over-the-counter hearing aids . . .
