Richard Blumenthal, D-CT, has introduced the Commission on Equity and Reconciliation in the Uniformed Services Act, aiming to address historical injustices faced by LGBTQ+ individuals within the military. The commission will aim to identify and document discriminatory practices regarding sexual orientation and gender identity from World War II to the present, shedding light on how these policies affected service members and veterans' rights and well-being.
