WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 -- The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, through the National Institutes of Health, has announced a funding opportunity aimed at advancing research in the early detection of pancreatic cancer. The initiative, titled Pancreatic Cancer Detection Consortium: Research Units (U01 Clinical Trial Optional), will allocate up to $5 million to support innovative research units focused on developing and testing novel detection methods for this aggressive form of cancer.
